Recommended Gate Procedures:
– Residents should always use their fob or private code to enter, no tailgating or sneaking in
– Guests should be provided resident private code to enter, no tailgating or sneaking in
– Vendors should use dial up directory on control panel which allows resident to open the gate via cell phone. This protects the private code being used later when vendor is off duty.
No tailgating means to not follow the car that opened the gate before you. No sneaking in means to not enter because the gate was opened by an exiting car. These are just recommendations to ensure the security of the community entry gate. The gate doesn’t serve it’s purpose if just anyone can enter. I have challenged many cars that have tailgated or sneaked in. I just verify they are a guest and remind them to please get gate code from resident. If they aren’t a guest or vendor, I have told people to leave because we are a private property.
