The Board met on August 30, 2018 just prior to the ad hoc Parking Committee meeting, and for those residents unable to attend, the following is an unofficial recap of the meeting. The official minutes will be approved at the next meeting and made available on this site.

Quorum was established and proper posting of meeting notice was verified.  Approval of minutes from previous Board Meeting on 8/23 was postponed until the regular meeting on 9/27.

President noted that the main reason for meeting was to form and set the expectations for the ad hoc Parking Committee and to review and make decisions on proposals for pressure washing and additional landscaping projects.

No residents asked to speak.

A new proposal on pressure washing from Tampa Bay Power Washing was presented and compared to the previous quote from another vendor presented on 8/23. Tampa Power Washing was selected as the vendor for one-time power washing. They indicated they could also contract with individual homeowners to pressure wash driveways at a reduced price at the same time as the common areas are done.

2 proposals from Crowder’s Landscaping were presented and approved.  One was for additional landscaping projects for replacing a section of grass on the bank of Phase I pond near the pool that was damaged by the pool being drained onto the grass, for picking up and disbursing the overage of stone in some drainage areas next to the sidewalks, for cutting back Brazilian pepper that is hanging over the fence at the KB development near the first TECO pond and for removing build-up of soil and mulch around crape myrtles on Fox Sparrow.    The other proposal was for the removal of the 2 posts at the former handicapped spaces and back filling the holes.

President then addressed expectations with the ad hoc Parking Committee.   The first order of business is for the committee to tighten the questions on the previous parking survey and to create a new survey to be distributed to homeowners, with the goal of finding potential solutions to the parking issue, as we cannot add more parking spaces.   The survey questions will be presented to the Board for final approval before the survey is distributed.
