Hurricane Idalia is expected to make landfall as a category three hurricane packing powerful winds and torrential rain. If the latest forecasts hold true, our immediate area will be spared the worst weather as the storm passes to our west and heads north. Notwithstanding these predictions, the Tampa area will see strong winds and heavy rain and all residents are being asked to remove or secure items outside of their homes and on back patios/lanais to prevent items from being tossed into the air and possibly damaging property.
