I am not receiving email notices. Who should I contact?
If would like to be added to the distribution list, please complete the Authorization for Electronic Notification form and send to the Secretary of the Board of Directors at secretary@townhomesofwestlake.com.
At closing, West Lake owners were given the opportunity to authorize the Association to send notifications via electronic means. This authorization includes meeting notices, mass mailings and informational updates regarding community events and amenities. The Management Company keeps the forms on file and uses them to generate a distribution list. Email notices are sent as needed to distribute information and to announce meetings and upcoming events. If you do not receive email notices, several factors such as incomplete information, illegible handwriting or simply having checked the wrong box on the form may be the reason.

During what hours is the Pool open?
The pool is open from Dawn until Dusk. A good rule of thumb is to check the street lights. If the lights are on, then there is probably not sufficient light for using the pool.
Am I allowed to have a party at the Pool?
How do I report a Streetlight out?
Who handles Pest Control?
Your monthly assessments cover the cost of pest control and the monitoring of the Sentricon termite system. The Association contracts with Home Team to provide these services for all of the townhomes in West Lake.
If you experience problems with ants, roaches, termites, etc. please contact Home Team directly at (813) 886-4700 and identify yourself as a resident of the Townhomes of West Lake Community Association.
Check out their website to learn more about your Taexxo and Sentricon systems and how your home is protected: https://pestdefense.com/tampa/tampasouth/
When are Trash and Recycling picked up?
Trash is picked up on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Recycling is picked up on Tuesday mornings.
- All garbage and recycle containers must be kept inside the garage except on the day of collection. They may not be left outside in view of the street or other homes.
- Garbage cans and recycling containers shall not be placed outside for pick up earlier than 7:00 PM the night before and empty containers shall be brought inside the same day as pick up.
- All food refuse shall be placed in a covered receptacle to avoid attack from animals. Placing plastic bags at curbside is not acceptable.
- When two containers are placed at curbside, they should be kept at least 3 feet apart so that the trash truck’s equipment can pick the container up for dumping.
- The truck driver is not required to pick up any trash that is not inside a trash container.
- Cardboard and other large items must be cut down and placed inside the recycle container. The truck driver is not required to pick up anything outside the recycle container.
- Please do not place garbage and re-cycling containers on a grassy or landscape area. Keep containers on a concrete area in order to prevent damage to the grass and plants.
- Trash may not be accumulated or stored on the exterior of the house.
- Open burning of garbage and other refuse is not permitted.
- To keep odors down in your trash containers, place several plain charcoal briquettes inside the container and replace each time your can is emptied.
The Lift Station alarm is sounding! What should I do?
- Call the number for service on the side of the box under the flashing red light
- Call Greenacre Properties and notify them that you have called the service company
- After you have actually spoken with either someone at the service company or Greenacre Properties, you may push the button under the number for the service company to silence the alarm. The red light will continue to flash until someone at the service company releases it.
Important Numbers:
Lift Station Services: (727) 485-7707
Greenacre Properties: (813) 600-1100
Lift Station Tips:
We received tips from the service company to keep the lift station running smoothly (they obtained them from the Wastewater Division at the City of Tampa):
- Don’t pour fats, oil or grease down the drains
- Pour used cooking oils/sauces/gravies into a container and allow them to cool. After they cool, they may be disposed of in your trash can
- Don’t put anything in your toilet except human waste and tissue paper
- Avoid flushing any cleaning wipes, baby wipes, tampons, dental floss, condoms, large amounts of hair, plastic bags, etc. down the toilet
- Scrape excess foods directly into your trash can before putting your dishes in the dishwasher
- Use your garbage disposal sparingly
